Today is National Trivia Day! Bet you didn't know that little bit of trivia! Since this is a Star Wars blog, I decided to throw out a few bits of trivia about some of our favorite Star Wars characters that you might not know!
Mace Windu was an actor before he was on the Jedi Council.
In one of the paths in the book Choose Your Destiny: An Anakin and Obi-Wan Adventure, Jocasta Nu reveals to Anakin that when Mace Windu was younger, he was prolific as a theater actor on Coruscant. He did leave the hobby behind when he joined the council, but it certainly shows an unexpected side to the usually stoic Jedi Master!
Kanan Jarrus had a big sweet tooth.
Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know reveals that Kanan had a huge sweet tooth, and loved the desserts from Old Jho's Pit Stop on Lothal. His favorites included space waffles with muja sauce, minced loth-rat pie, jogan fruitcake, blue milk custard and spiced nysillin tea.
Yoda's blanket in Return of the Jedi is Qui-Gon's cloak.
One of the short stories in From a Certain Point of View reveals that Yoda has held on to several artifacts of his past in the Jedi Temple, including the cloak of Qui-Gon Jinn, which he uses as a blanket.
Hera and Chopper attended Han and Leia's wedding.
The novel The Princess and the Scoundrel gives us all the details of Han Solo and Leia Organa's wedding on Endor, officiated by Luke Skywalker and including a big guest list. Many Ewoks attended of course, as did many of their rebel colleagues, including Hera Syndulla and Chopper.
Finn read comic books as a child that other First Order cadets used to sneak in.
Resistance Reborn reveals that Finn used to read comic books as a child, specifically about a fictional hero named "Kade Genti." Another stormtrooper cadet snuck the comics in and they'd have to secretly read them without the officers knowing, otherwise they'd be sent to reprogramming. Finn would later use the name Kade Genti as an alias on a secret mission in the book.
